Nyla Newell is a rising junior at Spelman College, majoring in Education Studies with a minor in Management and Organization. She is passionate about expanding educational opportunity and supporting children’s growth through educational equity, leadership development, and program management. Nyla brings extensive experience working with youth through her roles as a volunteer, mentor, and reading guide with Atlanta Public Schools, strengthening her commitment to students’ academic success and confidence, and to creating environments where they can thrive both inside and outside the classroom. As a CAFE Group intern, Nyla is excited to explore the business and philanthropic side of education, gaining hands-on experience in program management, leadership initiatives, and community‑focused impact. She looks forward to contributing to The CAFE Group’s mission of strengthening future leaders and supporting programs that empower young people.
